ODA Announces ODA World Conference 2009

The Open Design Alliance (ODA) announces its first ODA World Conference to be located in Leiden, The Netherlands, April 27 – 29, 2009. The ODA World Conference Planning Committee also announces a call for industry-related papers and presentations to be delivered at the conference.

The first two days of the ODA World Conference will include exploration of industry topics and ODA technology, with presentations by industry-leading ODA member companies and ODA technical staff. Seminars will include topics such as new directions in the technical software industry, the use of ODA components to create solutions, and a comprehensive look at ODA internal and third-party components.

The third day of the conference will feature specific ODA technical training by leaders of the ODA engineering staff. Discussions will include tips for improving and optimizing client applications, “how-to” sessions, and direct question and answer sessions with ODA engineering staff.

President of the ODA, Arnold van der Weide, commented, “The ODA World Conference is an opportunity for our global member companies and also those who are interested in ODA technology to meet the ODA Development Team, and collaborate and learn more about ODA technology, both on a conceptual level and with practical applications. This is our first world-wide conference, which we’re expecting to be an annual event.”
